We are honored to welcome Ashley Thylin as our 2025 Champions of Hope Gala mission speaker. At just 16 years old, Ashley was diagnosed with Burkitt Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Now, at 21, she is bravely and passionately sharing her journey to highlight why cancer research is so critical - because more survivors like her deserve to celebrate life’s milestones. This past weekend, we had the joy of celebrating Ashley’s 21st birthday at the Denver Broncos Crucial Catch game. Thank you for joining us and for being such a light in every room you enter! ✨ Honoring a Legacy of Hope ✨ We are proud to announce that the 2025 Sword of Hope Award will be presented posthumously to Marianne B. Kipper at this year’s Denver Champions of Hope Gala. For more than 35 years, Marianne dedicated herself to the American Cancer Society — advancing research, volunteering, sharing her scientific expertise, and inviting her network to join in making a greater impact. In 1999, she became an ACS stakeholder and went on to establish both a research fund and a professorship that continue to fuel innovation and education for ACS researchers today. Marianne’s lifelong passion for making the world a better place through science and discovery lives on through her family’s ongoing commitment to funding ACS cancer research in her honor.
