The Tractor Supply Company Team participated in the National Retail Federation Center for Digital Risk & Innovation workshop on Managing and Governing AI Complexity in Retail, a thoughtful, collaborative session hosted by Caroline Reppert , Christian Beckner, Eric Shea and the NRF CDRI team in partnership with PwC.
Retail technology, cybersecurity, legal, and AI leaders from across the industry gathered to discuss how agentic AI and other emerging capabilities are transforming retail, governance, and security frameworks. The conversation reinforced that as AI becomes more autonomous, trust, observability, and responsible scaling must evolve just as quickly.
Key takeaways:
• Governance and security are now accelerators for innovation.
• Observability—understanding how AI acts, learns, and costs—is essential for accountability.
• Cross-functional collaboration is critical as AI moves from pilots to enterprise scale.
• Industry alignment on responsible AI standards will shape the future of retail innovation.
Tractor Supply has the foundation—enterprise AI platforms, embedded governance, and a culture of trusted innovation—to help lead retail’s digital transformation responsibly.
It was great connecting with so many retail and technology leaders advancing responsible AI alongside other peers and partners from across the NRF Center for Digital Risk & Innovation community.
