Land a UK graduate job in 90 Days 🚀 | 400+ Success Stories | #2 Career Coach Worldwide | UK Grad Recruitment Season (Sep-Jan) = Best Time to Get Hired | DM me “DREAM JOB” if you’re a UK grad looking for your dream job…

When I graduated, everyone told me: - Apply to hundreds of jobs - Your degree will get you hired - Get "any old job" and work your way up But after 50+ rejections & 0 offers? I changed my strategy. Within months, I got interviews offers from dream companies like: BT, Amazon, Vodafone & more. Here’s exactly what worked: The 5-Step Job Search Strategy 🚀 1️⃣ Build a Results-Based, Skills-Focused CV ↳ Stop listing responsibilities - show impact. ↳ Use numbers & results to prove your value. ↳ Tailor this for every application aligned to the JD. 2️⃣ Research Your Industry & Target Companies ↳ Don’t apply blindly - be specific. ↳ Study industry trends, company values & products/services. ↳ Use this to show high motivation & conviction 3️⃣ Network With Industry Professionals & Hiring Managers ↳ Job boards won’t get you hired - people will. ↳ DM recruiters & hiring managers on LinkedIn. ↳ Be direct & position yourself as an ideal candidate. 4️⃣ Interview Like a Pro & Show Proof of Your Motivation ↳ Preparation gets into the top 1%. ↳ Study job description, common questions, research the hiring manager, & practice answers. Bonus Tip: Create a personalised portfolio or case study to show initiative. 5️⃣ Stay Highly Organised & Track Everything ↳ Apply strategically, not randomly. ↳ Track all applications, contacts & follow-ups in one document. The best candidates aren’t always the most qualified. They’re the most prepared. This strategy took me from rejection to multiple dream job offers. Want to learn how to do the same? I’m hosting a FREE workshop for UK-based graduates at 6pm GMT TODAY. ⬇️ Comment "Dream Job" (I’ll send you the invite!) ♻️ Repost to help other job seekers. 👋🏼 Follow Dan Mian for more.

📌One year since graduation, and still no offers? No interview calls? Trust me, you’re not alone! Many fresh graduates are struggling to even get a callback, let alone crack an offer. But before you blame the market, take a moment to reflect. Are you really doing everything right? Here’s a quick checklist to analyze if the problem is with your approach or the market itself: ✏️What’s your priority these days? Back when I was job hunting, my routine was clear I’d wake up, check emails, and start applying for every relevant job posted that day. Are you treating your job search as a priority or just applying whenever you feel like it? ✏️Still using that fancy designer resume? If your resume looks great but doesn’t have the right keywords, it’s probably not even getting past ATS. Customize it for each job, add relevant keywords, and make sure it’s ATS friendly. ✏️Are you reaching out for referrals? Applying isn’t enough! For every job I applied to, I reached out to at least 5 employees for referrals. Are you doing that? At least 3 referrals per job application should be your goal. ✏️Are you exploring ALL possible ways to apply? Sometimes, direct applications don’t work. Have you tried connecting with recruiters, cold emailing hiring managers, or even networking on LinkedIn? ✏️Are you improving your job search strategy? If you’ve faced 50 rejections and your approach is still the same, something’s wrong. Analyze what’s not working and adapt! ✏️Are you upskilling? What have you learned in the past 6 months? Any new projects, certifications, or skills that make you a better candidate? Employers value continuous learning. ✏️Do you have a job search routine or are you just applying randomly? Consistency is key! If your job search is just “whenever I feel like it,” then you’re not treating it like a real goal. ✏️Is your LinkedIn profile still the same “Aspiring ......” with no updates? Recruiters check LinkedIn all the time. Is your profile updated? Are you sharing insights, engaging with industry content, and making yourself visible? If you’re struggling, don’t just wait for luck fix your approach. The job market is tough, but a smart strategy can make all the difference. Which point hit you the most? Drop your thoughts below! 🌐If you found this helpful, like and repost to reach others who might need it. ✳️Follow for more daily content!

2024 was a tough year for job seekers. But 2025 will be better. Here's why... Success rate for 2024 job applications was at an all-time low due to: - High number of job seekers due to layoffs - Single-click applications further intensifying competition - Candidates applying to 100s of low-fitment roles as a hail mary - Candidates applying with generic resumes and LinkedIn profiles It’s almost 2025. People are realizing the downside of such generic job search strategies. They are realizing that it’s critical to spell out your biggest achievements across your application. And link those clearly to your target company's requirements. That’s the best way to differentiate yourself. Why? Because responsibilities are generic. Everybody has them. Results and job alignment, not so much. Results can showcase your passion for work, leadership capabilities, strong work ethic, and mastery over technical/behavioral skills required for your target role. Here what I’ve seen work best when trying to improve job search results: 1) RESUME: ❌ Don't just list out your skills and responsibilities like it’s a McDonald’s menu. ✅ Elaborate on how you used them to achieve your team’s and organizational goals. ✅ Clear, specific instances from your work experience are your best friends. 2) INTERVIEWS: ❌ Steer clear of generic confidence statements. ✅ Qualify answers with real examples from your career journey. ✅ Ask insightful questions about the role, and don't hesitate to dig deeper with follow-ups. 3) JOB SEARCH: ❌ Don't send generic messages to hiring managers. ✅ Tailor each outreach with genuine reasons why you are a good fit. ✅ Go beyond the resume. A short strategy deck or portfolio can showcase your work to make you more memorable. None of these are hard. What’s hard is applying them consistently.   What has helped you stand out in a crowded job market? #jobsearch #transitions #careergoals

It has become common for students and new job seekers to encounter feelings of dissatisfaction and uncertainty when deciding on their career path or transitioning into a new job. As students engage in the process of identifying their career path, it's crucial that they make decisions while considering the below factors: - Personal interests & values. - Aptitudes & Passion. - Demand for the chosen career. - Job sustainability. - Financial stability. It is also important to have a well-defined career goal. The same goes for selecting a new job as well. There are many aspects to consider, ranging from the roles and responsibilities to the company's work culture. Rather than being blindsided by unexpected challenges, it is highly advisable to take up counseling or coaching sessions with experts. A job seeker came to me after 3.5 months of job searching with the following data: 180 applications submitted 12 screenings 1 referral 5 interviews 1 final round 0 offers After reviewing the data, I found that their job search was actually performing well in some areas but had key bottlenecks: - Strong application-to-screening rate Their resume and portfolio were doing well, getting them past the initial stage. - Good screening-to-interview rate Their performance in behavioral and situational questions was above average. - Weak interview-to-final round conversion  This indicated a struggle with: Technical rounds – Not demonstrating enough depth in core skills. Alignment with job descriptions – Answers weren’t tailored to the company’s needs. Surface-level responses – Not showcasing impact or real-world application of skills. The plan to improve: If I were coaching them, I’d focus on three key strategies: 𝟭) 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 Develop an interview strategy to explain technical and soft skills in-depth. Relate answers directly to the job description and company goals for higher impact. Use structured responses like the STAR method, but emphasize impact and problem-solving. 𝟮) 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 Daily practice of technical questions tailored to their target roles. Mock interviews to simulate real-world scenarios. Feedback loops to refine and improve responses. 𝟯) 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 Increase outreach to professionals in their industry. Leverage networking and informational interviews to gain more referrals. Prioritize companies where referrals hold more weight. Key Points: ✔️ Data-driven job search analysis helps pinpoint areas that need improvement. ✔️ Fixing interview bottlenecks is often the key to securing more final rounds and offers. ✔️ Referrals still matter even in markets where they aren’t as strong as in the US or Canada. ✔️ Daily practice and structured preparation make a big difference in interview performance. By focusing on these areas, They could significantly increase their final round conversions and land a job faster. Have questions about your job search or how to break into data roles? Drop them in the comments, or send me a message. Let's get you to your next role! ------------------------ ➕Follow Jaret André  for more daily data job search tips.

I had my first career counselling session when I decided to go for an MBA. But I should have done it much earlier. I was drawn to the MBA because it seemed like a good way to open up my options, but I wasn't sure if it was the right path for me. A study by the National Career Service (NCS) found that 70% of students in India are not sure what career they want to pursue. The study also found that only 20% of students have received any kind of career guidance. My career counsellor helped me to clarify my interests, skills, and values. She also helped me to understand the different career options available to me and how my education, CAT/ CMAT score, and work experience fit into those options. As a result of our sessions, I was able to shortlist the MBA colleges I wanted to apply to and choose the best one that had offered me admission. Here’s why career counselling is crucial especially for students and freshers : 1️⃣ Self-discovery : Helps you understand your strengths and interests. 2️⃣ Informed decisions : Guides you towards suitable career paths. 3️⃣ Skill development : Identifies areas to enhance for success. Another study by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) found that 60% of MBA graduates in India are not satisfied with their jobs. The study found that the main reasons for dissatisfaction were poor career planning and unrealistic expectations. Career counsellors can help students and freshers in a number of ways, including: 🔸 Conducting assessments to identify interests, skills, and values 🔸 Providing information about different career options 🔸 Helping to develop a resume and cover letter 🔸 Connecting with professionals in the field 🔸 Practicing for job interviews What’s your take on career counselling? Have you ever taken one? How was your experience? Share it in the comments.

When I help people discover and plan the next stage of their careers.... Most are surprised that we spend the first coaching sessions speaking about them, their relationships, and behaviors in the workplace... "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘛𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳?" Here's a simple way to think about it.... Imagine you're an athlete, who's broken his/her arm. And who, because of that, had to keep that arm in a cast for 3 months, 3 years (or 30 years for some!) Now.... When you take that cast off, chances are your arm will be bent at the elbow and rigid. Chances are, you're afraid to stretch it.... So in that moment... if I was to ask you "what sport would you like to play next?" You wouldn't even consider sports that require you to stretch your arm (such as boxing or basketball). Similarly, when you go through tough experiences in the workplace and life, you develop: → behavioral rigidities → emotional rigidities → identity rigidities So by working on regaining your flexibility you regain your trust in yourself. And, as a result, you start seeing and considering career options that were previously "hidden" from sight... One of the recent clients who enrolled in the Aha! Moment Academy has learned a framework to increase her openness behaviour, and after the first session was able to speak up, became a bit more assertive and open about the struggles in her workplace, without burning bridges or putting in danger her role. It's the small things that lead to the big aha moments.

Is your next career move the right one? When it comes to judging your next job, what are the criteria? I've lost count of how many career sessions I've had with current students or alumni who come in saying, "I started updating my resume today, and tomorrow I'm going to apply to everything on LinkedIn because I can't take this job anymore/my manager anymore/ these clients anymore/ these business trips anymore, etc., and I'm just going to start applying." It feels for them like they are finally making a move, doing what they always wanted to do, putting themselves first. The common trap for those just wanting to escape their current job is that it presents itself as progress during a "get out" journey. It is their belief that leaving is itself a step forward and that any new opportunity will satisfy all of their needs. As long as they don't take the time to reflect on their motivations, different things they could imagine doing, their energy drainers and drivers, and the trade-offs they are willing to make, they will not truly understand what progress looks like for them, ultimately leading to regret. A striking number of recent MBA graduates, nearly a third, found themselves in roles they were unhappy with almost immediately. (MBA exchange statistics) So, if I am an HR leadership development person aimed at retaining talents for the organization or a career professor, giving career strategy development sessions, and knowing what driving forces are causing employees/ alumni to change jobs, what can I do about it? How I can support them to make progress in their careers and be satisfied with that progress? 1. I can start with brainstorming, encouraging them to explore 3-5 different career paths. 2. I can then discuss their energy drainers and energy drivers. 3. Afterward, I can help them identify the talents and strengths they want to utilize in their jobs. 4. Together, we can determine what trade-offs they are or are not willing to make with regard to their next career move. 5. Next, I can help them formulate 3-5 hypotheses about their future roles and motivate them to conduct market research to test their assumptions. 6. Lastly, to assist them in getting informational interviews, I can facilitate meetings with professionals currently in the roles they are considering.  It's no longer the case that we join an organization that dictates our career paths for us. We have the freedom to choose and to chart our own course instead. Let's discuss your experience/insights on this topic!
