Career transitions aren't about finding a new train track to ride to career advancement—they're about mastering the rock climb. Here's the framework I use with clients to help them pivot successfully: Step 1: Identify Your True Pain Point Before making any move, ask yourself: Is it your boss you dislike or the actual work? Is it the industry or just your company culture? One client was ready to leave her entire field until we discovered she only needed an internal transfer away from a toxic boss—saving months of job searching while keeping her seniority. Step 2: Apply the W.I.S.E. Framework Don't jump straight to job applications. First, analyze: Workplace needs: What motivates you at work? Industries: Which sectors will you thrive in? Skills/Roles: What work uses your skills/strengths? Experience: What experience can you leverage in your transition? Step 3: Become the Entrepreneur of Your Career The ultimate goal? Complete ownership of your professional destiny. This mindset shift is everything. Your experience is your product, and you must position it differently for different opportunities. Feeling stuck? Successful job seekers prioritize and compromise.  Use “forced choice” to help you prioritize what’s most important to you and narrow down your options. Here's a question for deeper reflection... How does your past experience prepare you for the roles you're targeting now? #Careers #JobSearch #LinkedInTopVoices

I felt all 5 of these signs in my last role. Took me 6 months to admit it. Another 3 to do something about it. Here's what nobody tells you about outgrowing your job: It doesn't happen overnight. It's death by a thousand paper cuts. THE SLOW BURN: Monday: "I've done this before." Tuesday: "Nothing new to learn here." Wednesday: Meeting about a meeting. Thursday: Praised for work that took 20% effort. Friday: Realize you've been on autopilot all week. Sound familiar? After 10+ years in clinical research, I've seen this pattern destroy careers. Not because people get fired. But because they stay too long. Here's your reality check: SIGN 1: You're no longer learning—just repeating → Same protocols, different day → Could do your job with eyes closed → Growth curve? Flatlined. SIGN 2: You're praised, but not promoted → "You're too valuable where you are" → Empty promises of "next time" → Watch newer hires leap past you SIGN 3: You dread meetings because they feel pointless → Same discussions, zero decisions → Your ideas die in committee → Innovation is a four-letter word SIGN 4: You're doing more... but growing less → Busywork disguised as importance → Activity without advancement → Running fast on a treadmill SIGN 5: You feel invisible—like your potential is being wasted → Your best ideas gather dust → Leadership doesn't see your vision → You're a Ferrari stuck in first gear I ignored these signs for 9 months. Cost me: • Momentum in my career • Confidence in my abilities • Time I'll never get back But here's what I learned: THE PIVOT PLAYBOOK: 1. Audit your career values What mattered 2 years ago might be irrelevant now. Growth? Impact? Flexibility? Get clear. 2. Clarify your north star Not just a title. A direction. Where do you want to be in 3 years? 3. Update your positioning Resume isn't enough. LinkedIn. Network. Personal brand. Make yourself findable. 4. Build your bridge Don't leap—leverage. Use your current role to build skills for the next. Take on projects that align with your future. If you've felt 3+ of these signs in the last 30 days... It's not a phase. It's a pattern. And patterns don't change themselves. I stayed 9 months too long in a role that stopped serving me. Don't make my mistake. Your career isn't just about paying bills. It's about building something meaningful. And you can't build when you've outgrown your foundation. READY TO MAKE YOUR MOVE? DM me "NEXT MOVE" and I'll send you: ✓ My Career Clarity Checklist Because here's the truth: The best time to leave was 6 months ago. The second best time? Right now. What sign resonates most with you? P.S. Feeling stuck doesn't make you ungrateful. It makes you human. And humans are meant to grow. 🌱 #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerChange #ClinicalResearch #Leadership

➡️ After countless interviews and months of searching, I realized my passion wasn’t just about hiring great people—it’s about helping them grow and supporting businesses in creating environments where employees can thrive. And for the first time in this search, I felt excited to explore opportunities that truly light me up. 🌟Huge shout out to Ama La Vida and my awesome career coach Maggie Breitenbach for helping me through all this🌟 Sometimes, we hold onto jobs or careers because they’re all we know. But there’s a lot of value in taking a step back to ask: Is this still the right path for me? If you’re feeling stagnant, here are some ways that I’ve taken back control of my career: ✅ Assess What’s Working (and What’s Not) Are you genuinely excited about the roles you’re applying to, or are you just chasing what’s familiar? Look at where your energy goes—if certain conversations or tasks light you up more than others, there might be a clue there. Trust your gut! ✅ Strengthen Your Learning Muscle Job pivots don’t always mean starting over. Leverage online courses like LinkedIn Learning, find in-person networking groups, or engage with professionals in a new field to get an insider’s perspective. ✅ Make Self-Reflection a Constant Sometimes, the biggest career roadblocks aren’t external—they’re internal. Fear of change, imposter syndrome, or uncertainty about what’s next can keep us stuck. Taking time to reflect (or working with a coach!) can help you move forward with more confidence. 💡The takeaway? Your career is yours to shape. If the old path isn’t leading anywhere, don’t be afraid to explore a new one. You might be surprised by what you find. #careerpivot #careertransition #jobsearch #careercoach

In over 2,000 hours of mentorship sessions, one question keeps coming up—especially from those looking to transition jobs: "How do I know what to look for next?" Here’s a simple framework to help you get unstuck: Think of your career priorities as a scalene triangle—each side represents something different, but you decide which carries the most weight: 🔺 Profit – Does this role support your financial goals and/or time goals you need for lifestyle? 🔺 Purpose – Does it align with the impact you want to make or the passions you have? 🔺 Progress – Will it challenge you and set you up for future growth? There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The key is knowing which priority matters most to you right now. Once you do, the right opportunities become much clearer. Which of these three drives your next move? 👇
