Stress quietly builds from small habits you barely notice 17 ways it's winning - and how to stop it: I used to think stress just... happened. But the truth is we often let stress quietly take over through our daily habits. The good news? You can take control back. 17 ways you’re letting stress run the show - and simple actions to take instead: 1. Never prioritize your tasks  ↳Write out your 3 Most Important Tasks (3 MIT) the night before 2. Keep your schedule too flexible ↳Set work hours and stick to them 3. Leave things until the last minute ↳Break down big tasks into small pieces to create momentum 4. Spend time on low priority tasks ↳Identify the needle movers - work on them first each day 5. Work in a disorganized space ↳Take 5 min each day to declutter. Add a plant. 6. Multitask constantly ↳Focus on one thing at a time (single-task) 7. Spend too much time in Reactive Mode ↳Eisenhower Matrix - get clear on what's important and what's urgent 8. Don't delegate ↳Trust the people around you to handle the tasks 9. Set vague goals ↳Try SMARTER goals (Specific; Measurable; Achievable; Relevant; Time-bound; Evaluated; Reviewed) 10. Skip physical activity ↳Schedule it into your calendar 11. Say 'yes' to every request ↳Figure out what's important. Say no to what doesn't align. 12. Avoid taking breaks ↳Take short, intentional breaks to recharge 13. Answer emails immediately ↳Set specific blocks of time to respond 14. Don't pause to review progress ↳Make time to reflect - what went well? What didn't? 15. Don't set boundaries ↳Communicate your boundaries clearly 16. Spend endless time on social media ↳Set (and keep) limits, don't check throughout the day 17. Try to be perfect ↳Progress >perfection Stress often starts with your habits... so does control. What will you work on first? -- ♻️ Repost to help your network identify and manage their stressors 🌿 Follow me Dr. Carolyn Frost for more tips to reduce stress and live a happier, more successful life

Changing behaviors, one story at a time at Aproko Doctor. Building Africa's largest AI Health Infrastructure at Awadoc. Today is always Day 1

I didn’t walk into storytelling because it was trending… I walked into it because patients were dying from confusion. One patient in particular changed everything for me. He sat across from me tired, scared, nodding as I explained his condition. A few months later, he came back. But this time, in a worse state. He hadn’t followed the treatment plan I gave him… Because he didn’t understand me the first time. That was the moment I realised that you can’t treat people with words they don’t relate to. You can’t save people who don’t understand what you’re saving them from. And that’s how storytelling became the operating system behind everything we do. From building Aproko Doctor to a community of over 10 million people… To now building AwaDoc; A platform where people can ask health questions without fear or shame… Every time I hit ‘record’, I’m not just sharing information… I’m translating hope into something people can understand. Because in a country where myths and misinformation go viral, content isn’t just communication… It’s infrastructure. We don’t need more grammar. We need more storytellers who can break down complex ideas… And make them feel like the truth in your own language. Health is too important to be boring. That’s why we need to make it heard by making it human through storytelling. Never forget: our stories still matter.

Medical misogyny – is anyone surprised? I’m not. I spent four years trying to get help with my menopause, that was after four years of not knowing what it was and being gaslit by the medical profession. Over the years I visited four doctors and three medical practitioners asking and ultimately begging for help. If you are a woman and have experienced PMDD, endometriosis, fibroids, heavy bleeding, extreme period pain or a whole raft of other female specific issues including menopause, there is a high chance you too will have been dismissed, experienced eye rolling, tutting or mis diagnosis. If you have other issues such as ADHD or Lupus you are likely to have experienced the same. Why? Because in the case of the last point, we as women don’t exhibit the same symptoms in the same way as men. Regarding female reproductive health, it’s often because GPs haven’t received the training required and are working off historical bias, the odd bit of additional training or conversations around the topic. The issues around medicine are ingrained after centuries of misogyny. To this day in the UK women do not need to be included in clinical trials (in the US it is now law that they must be included). This means our physiology is not considered. The most recent example of this is when the Covid vaccine was being rolled out. Women were reporting that it interfered with their menstrual cycle. This was because it hadn’t been tested on women. Other examples are contraception, the pill is essentially the same as it was decades ago, as are the risks. Treatments for menopause still carry risks even though they are low. Investment in research to support women’s health is tiny.  I am delighted to hear that the government is taking action, let’s face it, it’s long overdue. I would also like to see that some of the investment in medical research announced in the budget will be earmarked for women’s health. Rather than be saddened by the confirmation of misogyny, it would be great to celebrate real advancements in women’s health. It’s something we would all benefit from. Did you realise things were so one sided? https://lnkd.in/eeHPtBxY #Medicine #womenshealth #medicalresearch

TIPS FROM THE AGENCY We helped a niche health coach nearly double their organic traffic in just 12 months. No backlinks. No fancy PR campaigns. Just smart content updates, on-page cleanup, and trust-building UX fixes. Along the way, we also helped them pick up 20 citations for AI Overviews. Here are the 3 strategies we used to boost their visibility: 📝 Blog Content Cleanup and Growth ✅ Ran a content gap analysis against competitors to find new blog topics worth targeting. ✅ Audited existing blog posts to identify low-traffic and zero-traffic pages, then removed them to free up crawl budget for better content. ✅ Worked with the client through an SEO writing workshop to build skills, and developed a plan for new articles plus improvements to existing content. 🏆 Building Trust with E-E-A-T Signals ✅ Added dedicated author boxes to blog articles showcasing the coach's expertise and personal story. ✅ Revamped the Testimonials page and Contact Me page to build stronger visitor trust. ✅ Improved the contact form to create a smoother, more secure user experience that converts better. 🤖 Laying the Groundwork for AI visibility ✅ We ran an AI visibility audit to see how the brand could appear in Google AI Overviews and Bing Copilot results. ✅ Built a plan to claim and optimize Google Knowledge Panel, improve Google Business Profile, and add short, authentic videos to connect with high-intent searchers. ✅ Created AI-optimized content pages with clear, first-person answers and emotionally resonant language to help these AI systems confidently recommend our brand as a real, trusted expert. The results: 📈 Sessions jumped from 1,196 to 2,341 (95.74% growth) 📈 Engaged sessions grew from 766 to 1,187 (54.96% growth) 🎯 Started ranking in 20 Google AI Overview keywords for niche health topics Ready to see similar results for your site?  Start with a free visibility audit here: https://lnkd.in/gDXQEWfC We'll show you exactly what's holding back your site from getting more traffic and appearing in AI search results.

Black women aren’t taken seriously by the medical system and it’s costing our lives. Last week I wrote an article that got published in Women's Health following the tragic news of the passing of American beauty influencer, wife and mother Jessica Pettway. She was misdiagnosed with fibroids when she cervical cancer all along. Upon hearing of her passing and delving deeper into what happened to her I felt sad, angry and frustrated. Not only was she failed by the system on multiple occasions, cervical cancer is actually one of the most preventable cancers thanks to screening and the HPV vaccine. Jessica was a mother, wife, sister, and so many things to so many people, and her life was tragically cut short. Jessica’s experience highlights a much wider systemic issue that Black women face within the medical system. Disparities in healthcare lead to detrimental outcomes for us, from gynae cancers to maternal health and beyond, and we need to keep raising the alarm. I specifically wrote the article because on social media following from the announcement of Jessica’s passing I saw some murmurs online from people who argued that what happened to Jessica was not a race issue, but rather that misdiagnosis is common and can happen to women from all backgrounds. While I completely understand that misdiagnosis can happen to women regardless of their race or ethnicity the consequences and frequency are disproportionately worse among Black women and this backed by all the data that can be found in the article. Addressing the challenges faced by Black women doesn't diminish the experiences of other women. Here is the full article. Have a read and let me know your thoughts in the comments 👉🏾 https://lnkd.in/en4Et4gh

Q4 always feels like the big one the pace picks up, everyone’s in execution mode, and it’s like the final sprint before the year wraps. But here’s the thing I’ve learnt: none of the planning, productivity or “new quarter, new energy” vibes actually stick if your health isn’t where it should be. So I thought, if we’re going to finish this year strong, let’s start with the thing that’s quietly running everything: hormones. This week’s guest is the incredible Professor Annice Mukherjee, one of the UK’s leading endocrinologists and women’s health experts. She’s behind some of the biggest research in women’s health right now and has a rare gift for making the science actually useful. We spoke about: – The everyday things throwing your hormones off balance – The truth about exercise + your cycle (what’s hype vs what’s real) – Why thyroid issues + PCOS are so misunderstood – How to actually advocate for yourself when doctors dismiss you – The groundbreaking research that could transform women’s health in the next few years You can watch or listen here: https://whhw.komi.io/

Tomorrow marks the start of International Stress Awareness Week, so I wanted to share some of my top strategies for managing stress. 1. Understand the difference between good stress and bad stress. Good stress—known as eustress—builds resilience, stress tolerance, and mental agility. It’s the kind of stress to lean into because it strengthens your ability to handle life’s demands. Some examples of beneficial stress: Cardio training Resistance training Cold exposure [cold showers or cold-water therapy] Heat exposure [traditional or infrared saunas] 2. Proactive recovery Instead of waiting until burnout or breakdown hits, make recovery a proactive habit. The key is to find daily, weekly and monthly proactive strategies for your own life and toolkit. One of my favourite daily recovery strategies is something I call 'Brain Breaks'. These are 1-3 micro-breaks in your day where you are intentionally 'stimulant-free' [screens, sugar, or caffeine]. These brain breaks can be between 2-10 minutes [or up to 20 minutes if you have the time] and are based on working with an internal micro cycle called your ultradian rhythm. Some examples of a brain break include: Step outside for a walk, ideally in nature Do a few cycles of deep breathing to activate your relaxation response Listen to a short meditation or NSDR (non-sleep deep rest) track Make a nutritious snack or have a glass of water, or a herbal tea These small, proactive strategies build recovery into your day, helping you stay energised, focused, and resilient, all of which support better stress management. → What’s one strategy you could add to your daily, weekly or monthly tool kit? ----------------------------------------- Hi, I'm Jess – an Executive Performance Coach & Speaker. I help executives, leaders and high-performing teams achieve sustainable success in demanding environments. My mission is to change the narrative and start a conversation - not just about what it takes to reach the top, but how to do it sustainably and stay there. #StressManagementTips #ScienceBacked Talks about sustainable #highperformance #LinkedInNewsAustralia Brendan Wong

A few months ago, I embarked on a small, personal experiment with a group of friends. As someone who's been committed to regular exercise for most of my life, recent events prompted me to reassess the effectiveness and direction of my efforts. Firstly, my grandfather received a dual diagnosis of bone cancer and dementia. Secondly, my father suffered a stroke. Thirdly, I discovered the concept of VO2 max, which led to the realization that my cardiovascular fitness was subpar despite years of training. These developments led to the following question: What proactive steps could I take today to boost my efforts and potentially prevent the health issues my family was encountering? One strategy that has consistently proven effective in my life is public accountability. Often, when I aim to achieve a goal, I openly share it with as many people as possible. Subsequently, whenever we meet, they inquire about my progress. This approach makes abandoning projects much more challenging when motivation fades away. Motivated by these reflections, I initiated a small group comprising individuals committed to leading healthier lives. We welcome anyone interested in preventive health, bio-hacking, or simply becoming more active. The group's purpose was to function as both a knowledge hub and an accountability circle. Four months into this journey, I've gained so many insights into the science of exercise, nutrition, sleep, and various other health-related topics. This learning experience was enriched by the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with many great people in Singapore and abroad! Today, I wanted to share some of the most impactful lessons I've learned thus far. All the content below has been shared and discussed in the community, offering a glimpse into the topics we typically talk about: 1. Step by Step: Revealing the Surprising Impact of Walking on Health 2. Maximizing Lifespan: The Dual Power of Cardio and Strength Training 3. Short Bursts of Activity: A Simple Strategy for Better Blood Sugar Control 4. Strength Over Time: The Vital Role of Weight Training in Aging Gracefully 5. Turning Back Time: How High-Intensity Interval Training Can Reduce Biological Age 6. Measuring VO2 Max Affordably 7. Exercise and Sleep: The Balancing Act for Long-Term Cognitive Health 8. Rethinking Protein Intake: Beyond the 20-Gram Myth Post-Workout 9. Superfood Spotlight: The Wide-Ranging Health Benefits of Chia Seeds Check the link in the comments to read the entire article.

👇 The biggest mistake I see founders make in their content strategy: Writing to impress, not to connect ❌ Your audience doesn’t want jargon. They want to feel seen. Heard. Understood 🫂 Especially in the health and wellness space, where buying decisions are emotional, not just logical🤗 I recently worked with a wellness brand struggling to drive engagement. Their blogs were factually solid, SEO-optimized, and well-written. But they read like textbook chapters. Not real stories. So, we flipped the script. We built a content strategy around empathy by mapping blog topics to actual conversations with their customers. We swapped: ❌ “5 Proven Benefits of Ashwagandha” for ✅ “I started taking Ashwagandha to manage burnout—and here’s what happened next” The results? 📈 2.6x increase in time-on-page 💬 A comment section full of real conversations 🧲 And more newsletter signups than ever before Here’s the truth: If your content doesn’t make your reader feel something, they won’t take action. So instead of asking, “What do I want to say?” Start asking, “What does my audience need to hear right now?” That shift alone can change everything 🙌 Want to rework your blog strategy to make it more human and more effective?💭 Let’s connect. I’d love to share what’s worked for other founders like you.
