India just announced three of the biggest deep-tech and strategic breakthroughs of the decade — and all in one news cycle. Skyroot Aerospace has opened India’s first private rocket factory capable of manufacturing a Vikram-1 orbital rocket every month, pushing India toward its goal of 50 launches a year by 2030. Hyderabad-based Indrajaal has unveiled the nation’s first fully mobile, AI-powered Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle to neutralise cross-border threats, narcotics routes, and terror drones in real time. And the Union Cabinet has approved a landmark ₹7,280-crore mission to build Rare Earth Permanent Magnets, creating India’s first full-stack magnet supply chain for EVs, defence, aerospace, electronics, and semiconductors. Meanwhile, the South’s tech rivalry is heating up — with Karnataka vs Andhra Pradesh emerging as India’s most important competition in AI infrastructure, data centres, talent, and IT policy. One state is doubling down on capability and innovation; the other is aggressively using incentives to pull in giga-scale investments. Space. Security. Strategic minerals. And now, a South India tech war. Four forces redefining India’s technological future — and its global standing.

India’s border security just received a powerful boost as Indrajaal Drone Defence unveiled the Indrajaal Ranger, the nation’s first fully mobile AI enabled Anti Drone Patrol Vehicle. Purpose built for real time patrolling and on the move drone interception, the Ranger marks a major shift from traditional stationary counter drone systems. CEO and Founder Kiran Raju underscored the urgency behind the innovation, noting that every drone neutralised protects lives and strengthens India’s internal security. His mission with Indrajaal is clear to defend freedom through next generation autonomous defence technologies driven by the company’s SkyOS engine. Guest of Honour Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey praised the Ranger as a shield for India’s youth, farmers, and border communities. He highlighted how such breakthroughs help counter ISI linked smuggling networks and the massive drug trafficking ecosystem dependent on drone routes. With seamless coverage across border roads, canals, agricultural belts, critical infrastructure, and dense urban regions, the Indrajaal Ranger is set to transform national security by disrupting illegal supply chains and safeguarding those living at the frontlines.

The final months of 2025 have turned into a festival of intelligence as OpenAI’s GPT 5.1, Google DeepMind’s Gemini 3 Pro and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.5 arrive almost together, each redefining how AI thinks. These models break away from straight line responses by slowing down when needed, planning steps and correcting themselves. With GPT 5.1 choosing its own thinking depth, Gemini offering Deep Think mode and Opus 4.5 giving full Effort control, the three companies showcase sharply different visions for the future of AI. Developers testing the models found equally distinct personalities. GPT 5.1 impressed with Codex Max and its compaction method that preserves memory during long coding sessions. Gemini 3 Pro demonstrated extraordinary flow across text, images, audio and video in a unified stream. Claude Opus 4.5 stood out by remembering previous attempts, avoiding repeated mistakes and solving complex engineering tasks with clarity. In real world coding tests, Opus 4.5 emerged strongest, Codex Max excelled at endurance and Gemini shone on scientific reasoning and long context tasks. Their benchmark scores reveal contrasting strengths. Gemini leads in science and mathematics with exceptional reasoning and long document handling. GPT 5.1 brings unmatched speed, scale and cost efficiency that make it ideal for high volume workloads. Claude Opus 4.5, the most expensive, delivers the closest feel to a thoughtful senior engineer. As developers describe it, Gemini feels clever, Claude feels careful and GPT 5.1 feels fast. The age of one model dominating is gone and the field now looks like a team sport where each system plays a different role in the future of intelligence.

Reliance Industries Limited and its global partners Brookfield Corporation and Digital Realty are making a powerful move into India’s AI future with a USD 11 billion investment in Andhra Pradesh. Their joint venture, Digital Connexion, will build a massive one gigawatt AI data capacity in Visakhapatnam, creating one of the country’s most advanced AI-native data centre campuses across 400 acres. The project arrives at a moment when global demand for high-density computing is at an all-time high. Google has already announced its own AI data capacity plans in Visakhapatnam, calling it its largest AI hub outside the United States. Industry experts say India’s data-centre capacity is on track to more than triple by 2030 as cloud adoption, digital transformation and policy incentives fuel unprecedented growth. For Reliance, this investment strengthens its position at the heart of India’s digital infrastructure expansion. For Brookfield and Digital Realty, it marks a strategic entry into one of the world’s fastest-growing data-centre markets. The Andhra Pradesh government says the project will boost job creation and firmly establish Visakhapatnam as a major global destination for AI compute and digital innovation.
