We’re proud to announce the opening of a new Amazon STEM Kindloteka in Gdańsk – the third location in the city! 📚 For nearly a decade, Amazon has been supporting education across Poland through the Kindloteka program, creating modern spaces that inspire children and young people to explore reading, technology, and the world of STEM. Each STEM Kindloteka is equipped with Kindle devices, educational robots, coding kits, VR goggles, and 3D printers, offering free, interactive workshops that develop creativity, logic, and problem-solving skills. To mark the opening, we hosted a hands-on workshop with the amazing students of Class 3A from Primary School No. 12 in Gdańsk Stogi – thank you for the energy and curiosity! The 6th edition of Girls Do Engineering is officially underway! 🚀 Last month, 47 high school students from the Tri-City area joined us for the first in-person workshop of this year’s program — full of teamwork, creativity, and first steps in Design Thinking. Led by Anna Jędryczko and Barbara Halska from Cyfrowy Dialog, the participants learned how to turn ideas into solutions while tackling important topics like well-being, sustainability, and digital balance. Big thanks to Ola Kodzik and Blanka Fijolek from Amazon Development Center Poland for welcoming the new cohort and all of our Amazonian volunteers who supported the girls at the beginning of their journey with the program. 🎓 Supporting young innovators shaping the future of technology. On October 21, Amazon Development Center Poland and Politechnika Gdańska celebrated the second edition of the Amazon Development Center Poland Research Grant program. As part of the Amazon Fund, we awarded research grants of 20,000 PLN each to PhD students working on breakthrough technologies — from explainable AI and cognitive monitoring systems to medical diagnostics and generative models.
