New audience reporting
Audience demographics, segments, and exclusions are now consolidated in one place for simpler audience management and optimization. To access the audience reporting, click the Campaigns icon , open the “Audiences, keywords and content” tab, and click Audiences.

New terms
Google Ads has updated some of the terminology used in audience reporting. "Audience types", such as custom, in-market, and affinity, are now called audience segments, and "remarketing" is now referred to as your data.

Prepare for success: Get your audience segment ready
If you plan to add audiences to your App campaign for engagement, it's important to have an audience segment ready. If you don't have one yet, learn how to Create an audience segment for App campaigns for engagement.
How to add, edit, or remove audiences
When you create an App campaign for engagement, you need to define your audience. You can add new audiences, edit existing ones, or remove audiences from your campaign. The following sections will provide instructions for each of these options.
Add new audiences
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon

- Click the Shared library drop down in the section menu.
- Click Audience manager.
- Select the Audiences tab and click the plus button
.
- Add your audiences.

- Click Save.
Edit your audiences
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon
.
- Click the Shared library drop down in the section menu.
- Click Audience manager.
- Check the box to the left of the audience you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Choose an action: copy, enable, pause, remove, change bid settings, or create an automated rule.
- Make your changes.
- Click Apply if you’re changing the bid settings, or click Save rule if you’re creating a new automated rule.
Remove an audience
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon
.
- Click the Shared library drop down in the section menu.
- Click Audience manager.
- Check the box to the left of the audience you want to remove.
- Click Edit, then select Remove.
- Click Remove again to remove your audience.
Optimize targeting for your audience segments
If your results don't match the expected size of your audience segment, here are some possible reasons:
- Some users in your audience list may have uninstalled your app.
- Some users may have changed devices.
- Your targeting may have narrowed down your audience significantly.
