On 28 October, Fitch reached another milestone, moving into its new office in Shanghai, thereby reaffirming our long-term commitment to the Chinese market. Fitch first established a presence in the city in 2012, following the launch of its operations in Beijing in 1997. Ian Linnell, President of Fitch Ratings, initiated the opening ceremony, which was followed by a traditional Chinese lion dance and a networking session with issuers, investors, and bankers. Fitch strives to be the go-to source of credit ratings and research for all sectors in China and is committed to building a healthy financial system in the country.
