Congratulations to Bob Rathbun on 30 seasons of bringing Hawks Basketball to life!! 🏀 Last night’s celebration was special, as we honored him with a donation to the animal rescue founded by his wife, Marybeth.

In partnership with the Atlanta Tipoff Club, administrators of the national Naismith Awards, we are proud to host our sixth annual Hawks-Naismith Tipoff Classic on Saturday, November 22 at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School. This one-day showcase will feature 12 of Georgia’s top high school basketball teams, eight boys’ teams and four girls’ teams, giving fans a full day filled with competitive action and excitement. “We’re so excited for the return of our annual Hawks-Naismith Tipoff Classic, which is an opportunity to celebrate the passion and love for high school basketball throughout Atlanta” said our very own Senior Director of Hawks Basketball Academy, Chris Jacobs. “By having multiple boys’ and girls’ games in this one-day showcase, this event gives young athletes the chance to compete at a high level and share their love for the game.” Ahead of the Tipoff Classic, Ken Nugent will host a free Jr. Hawks Youth Basketball Clinic for 100 boys and girls, continuing his Score for Scholarships program, pledging $1 per point scored to support youth in our Hawks Basketball Academy programs. Today, in observance of World Kindness Day, we are announcing our new partnership with Georgia’s 988 Crisis Lifeline, which is run by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. At the Hawks, we believe that courage, support, and community extend far beyond the court. Together with 988, we’re working to raise awareness around mental health, promote family well-being, and remind Georgians that seeking help is a sign of strength. Through this partnership, 988’s messaging will be featured across our Hawks platforms, including in-arena experiences, broadcast features, and community outreach. We’ll also work alongside Georgia’s 988 Lifeline and our very own Hawks alumni to encourage open conversations about mental health and connect individuals to critical resources across Georgia. 988 breaks stigma, builds connection, and supports the well-being of Georgians across the state. We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to making a lasting impact across our community.

Today, we officially unveiled our 2025-26 Nike NBA Peachtree City Edition uniforms and matching hardwood court, which is set to debut on Tuesday, Nov. 18 when our team will host the Detroit Pistons and will be showcased across a total of 10 marquee matchups. This season’s Peachtree uniform pays homage to Georgia, the Peach State, celebrating the bold character of its capital, Atlanta, and the Peachtree streets the connect the city’s diverse neighborhoods. Featuring vibrant, energetic colors that capture Atlanta’s electric spirit, the new design draws inspiration from our team’s 2019-20 City Edition colorways, reimagining the city’s rich heritage through a modern and fresh lens. “The return of our Peachtree City Edition uniform is a celebration of Atlanta,” said our very own Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Melissa M. Proctor. “From music to food to basketball, Peachtree represents how Atlanta continues to shape culture in ways that are bold, fresh and always True To Atlanta. Earlier last month, we hosted our second annual Salute to Success Veteran’s Career Fair presented by Georgia Power Company at our award-winning State Farm Arena. This event was dedicated to connecting veterans with top employers seeking the skills and experience veterans bring to the workforce.   Throughout the event, more than 200 veterans and their families had the opportunity to engage with over 40 companies and various veterans support groups to help them navigate the next steps in their career journey. In addition, all attendees were provided the opportunity to receive a free professional headshot.   This event is part of our ongoing partnership with Georgia Power and its community platform, True To You Workforce Empowerment. This platform is committed to strengthening Metro Atlanta’s workforce by providing career-readiness opportunities.
