As we head into Thanksgiving, our team at Behavioral Essentials is reflecting on Blindspotting’s first few months—and feeling deeply grateful. This partnership has helped us further our mission: helping organizations and leaders see themselves more clearly. Through the Blindspotting Assessment and our Blindspotting Coaching programs, we’ve been able to support leaders as they uncover the patterns shaping their leadership. In just a few months, leaders in 5 countries have completed 1,000+ assessments, joined our webinars and workshops, and begun using the Blindspotting framework to identify what’s been holding them back. Everywhere we go, we’re seeing the same truth: When leaders can see their blindspots—and have the coaching to work through them—they lead with more trust, clarity, and impact. To the growing Blindspotting community: thank you for helping turn this book into a movement. We’re honored to be part of it. #BehavioralEssentials #Blindspotting #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #Thankful #Thanksgiving #BookLaunch

What your team sees that you don’t 👀 The biggest gap in leadership today isn’t about skills or strategy. It’s awareness. Awareness of your blindspots, how you show up, shift under stress, and impact others. In this insightful podcast with Stacey Chillemi, our COO Jill Macauley offers a fresh take on blindspots in leadership: “Blindspots aren’t just individual—they’re collaborative. You need others to help you see what you can’t see.” Self-awareness isn't just personal work. It’s cultural work. When leaders normalize reflection, feedback, and behavioral adaptability, they create space for others to do the same. And that’s how blindspots stop being blind. In this episode, Jill explores how to: —Spot when your greatest strength may be holding you back —Shift behavior without losing your edge —Embed self-awareness into your leadership and your team 🎧 Listen now: https://lnkd.in/eTCJm5_j 📖 Read more: https://lnkd.in/erCUmQ6u #LeadershipDevelopment #SelfAwareness #Blindspots #ExecutiveCoaching #Blindspotting

As we close out the week, we're still carrying the energy from an unforgettable past weekend in Winter Park, CO. ✨ Arti Chopra and Lauren Breden had the privilege of leading and participating in the Exhale Retreat — a powerful and restorative gathering designed for women in leadership. In partnership with Sheri Colosimo and Kate Bailey, EMBA, they explored what it means to lead with greater self-awareness, and how to step into a new identity with intention and clarity. It was a reminder that sometimes the most impactful way forward begins with a big exhale of everything that's holding you back. We're grateful for the incredible community of women who showed up fully, and to Sheri and Kate who created such a meaningful space for insight ✨

More wonderful work being done by our coaches! 👏 #selfawareness #teamcoaching
Yesterday I wrapped up a 3-part workshop with the Bird & Night team at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance as a coach with Behavioral Essentials. So what left me impressed and inspired: ✨ An already tight-knit team committed to looking at behavioral tendencies so that shifts can be made to help strengthen the team ✨ A willingness to be vulnerable which lead to a better sense of self AND a better understanding of the team as a whole ✨ An abundant level of curiosity, questioning, and wonder ✨ A group of folks clearly committed to moving this work forward TOGETHER for the betterment of their team and the zoo I'm lucky I get to be a guide in these discussions. I see how powerful it can be when a group of caring, committed folks takes a step back to ask the bigger questions and to unpack meaning together. If you or your organization are interested in taking part in this dynamic experience please reach out to me. I'd love to share the good work we are doing at Behavioral Essentials to build better self-awareness in folks so that they can develop a strong team and organization in the process. #self-awarenss #leadership

Promotion season is almost here—and it’s not always just exciting. The possibility of stepping into a bigger role is often energizing. But if you’ve ever felt a surprising mix of grief or loss during a promotion, you’re not alone. Why? Because stepping into a new role means letting go of the old one. A promotion isn’t just a shift in responsibilities—it’s often a shift in identity. And without awareness, that transition can stir up emotional friction or stall your momentum. Martin Dubin's latest Psychology Today article unpacks this beautifully. If you’re navigating a big career moment—or helping someone else through one—this is worth a read! → https://lnkd.in/eX5xNhK2 #Leadership #SelfAwareness #CareerGrowth #Blindspotting #Identity

What happens when the thing that made you successful becomes the thing holding you back? Marcus was the kind of founder people wrote profiles about. Magnetic. Unstoppable. Visionary. He built Aesthetics, an augmented reality startup, from his kitchen table into a multimillion-dollar brand. Everything he touched turned to momentum — until it didn’t. But when a product flaw surfaced, Marcus did what had always worked ... he took control. He rewrote investor memos. He reviewed every design. He called it “protecting the company.” His team called it “walking on eggshells.” The harder things got, the tighter he gripped ... until he became the bottleneck. In coaching, Marcus uncovered an Identity Blindspot. He didn’t see himself as the leader of the company. He saw himself as the company. Every problem felt personal. Every mistake, a threat to who he was. What he couldn’t see was that control wasn’t keeping the company safe. It was keeping it small. When he finally let others lead, trust grew. Decisions got faster. The company got stronger. Marcus later summed it up simply: “My job isn’t to be the smartest person in the room. It’s to make room for smart people.” Letting go doesn’t mean losing control. It means giving your team room to grow. What’s one thing you’re still holding onto that someone else could own tomorrow? #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #SelfAwareness #Blindspotting #FounderJourney #LeadershipGrowth #CoachingCulture #LeadershipTransformation
