Most warehouse leaders evaluate automation by how fast it pays off. But what if your automation actually increased in value over time? That’s the hidden ROI of Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS), which is a model that delivers smarter, continuously improving robots through AI updates, collective learning, and flexible scaling. In her latest article, Gina Chung, Vice President of Corporate Development at Locus Robotics, shares how RaaS improves warehouse ROI to turn automation into a living, evolving system. I was crowded by robots! 😱 The Quality Group scales up with Locus Robotics bots. At its new 40,000 m² facility in Elsdorf, the company is rolling out a fleet of Locus Robotics autonomous mobile robots, powered by the LocusOne platform. The goal is simple: scale up efficiently, handle rising order volumes, and move smarter. The Locus system supports high-speed, high-volume picking while staying flexible enough to adapt to changing workflows. Robots can manage both fast-moving SKUs and slower, irregular items without rigid pallet setups or workflow redesigns. Built for growth, the site is already equipped to handle up to 60,000 orders per day. The bots run with FastPick, making them agile enough to manage peak periods, promotions, and influencer-driven demand spikes. It’s a perfect example of the next phase in logistics automation! Congrats Sarah Hilgers and team for adopting technology that fast! 🔥 Good job Denis Niezgoda and crew for making this possible! ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

Warehouse automation is evolving again. With Locus Array, Locus Robotics introduced Robot-to-Goods (R2G), which is a zero-touch fulfillment system that redefines efficiency, flexibility, and scalability. In this new blog, Senior VP of Strategic Accounts Jason Gies explains how R2G outpaces G2P and why flexibility is the defining advantage in modern fulfillment. This peak season, warehouses aren’t just managing record order volumes... they’re managing new cybersecurity threats that hide in plain sight. Locus Robotics’ Senior Director of Enterprise Security, Risk and Compliance, Fouad Khalil CISA, CDPSE, ITIL, explains how scams like brushing and quishing are evolving and why awareness is now a frontline defense for warehouse operations. From mislabeled packages to malicious QR codes, vigilance matters as much as speed. When S&S Activewear acquired alphabroder, it marked a strategic step forward in operational excellence. alphabroder had already seen strong results using Locus Robotics across its distribution network. Recognizing the impact, S&S Activewear adopted the same automation strategy and deployed Locus robots in their Toronto distribution center. The outcome was immediate. Greater efficiency, improved scalability, and a smooth transition positioned Toronto as the highest performing facility in the S&S network. This story shows how smart acquisitions can accelerate innovation and deliver meaningful value to customers. A new era in warehouse automation begins! Locus Robotics has officially shipped its first Locus Array units, and they’re being deployed by our longtime strategic partner DHL Supply Chain in Columbus, OH. As the world’s leader in Person-to-Goods (P2G) automation, we’re proud to now define a new category of Robots-to-Goods (R2G) that is powered by Agentic + Physical AI that senses, decides, and acts as one. Locus Array was designed around seven demanding customer requirements including to eliminate 90%+ of labor, deliver predictable 24×7 performance, achieve the lowest cost per pick, and scale globally across any facility type. Thank you to our incredible team, partners, and customers for making this milestone possible. The future of fulfillment has arrived and it’s autonomous.
