At our Glomfjord data center, we’re proving that the future of AI can grow hand-in-hand with local communities. In this small Arctic Circle town, advanced infrastructure is powered by more than hydropower and cold climate efficiency. It’s powered by people. By collaboration. And by shared purpose. Our data center runs on 100% renewable energy, uses the region’s natural cooling to minimize our footprint, and aims to channel excess heat to local fish farms and nearby industries. It’s a circular energy model rooted in the same cooperative spirit that has defined Glomfjord for generations. But the impact goes far beyond infrastructure. We’re working side-by-side with electricians, contractors, and technical teams to design and operate the facility together. And through our apprenticeship program, students from nearby schools are stepping inside the world of AI for the first time, discovering opportunities that exist right in their hometown. Glomfjord shows what’s possible when global innovation is grounded in local partnership. For more, read our latest article: https://lnkd.in/e5F2aYRd

We’re partnering with Verne and expanding to Iceland, delivering a 15MW sustainable, high-performance AI infrastructure deployment. Located within Verne’s existing Icelandic data campus, the deployment will include around 4,600 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, making it one of Iceland’s largest liquid-cooled data centers or GPU deployment. From Glomfjord to Narvik, and now Iceland, we’re continuing to build AI infrastructure that aligns performance with purpose, powered by renewable energy across the Nordics. Yesterday, our VP of AI Applications, Eyal Lantzman, joined the DDN booth at SC25 to talk about the Nscale stack. We had another sessions about operationalising AI inside the company - not just for internal workflows, but as a systematic framework for building products. He highlighted how we structure multi-stakeholder collaboration, to curation the context required for building an maintaining applications with AI, with a set of tools to facilitate in that process and ensure transparency and control.

Our AI factory in Glomfjord, Norway is powered by 100% renewable energy. Surrounded by mountains and powered entirely by renewable hydroelectric energy, we’re striving to make AI infrastructure more efficient and sustainable. In our latest piece, Alex Sharp, President of Nscale’s Data Center Group, explains how the Glomfjord facility is setting a new standard for responsible AI infrastructure. The team is addressing energy use, waste heat, and emissions while preserving the breathtaking environment that makes this place so unique. At Nscale, we’re building AI factories engineered for continuous compute, where power, cooling, and compute scale in sync with innovation and our customers. This is how we reduce time-to-first token, enhance sustainability, and future-proof the AI supply chain. In our latest article, Nscale expert Chris Coates explains how to: - Engineer for agility so infrastructure can flex with each GPU generation - Prioritize energy-efficient, modular architectures to meet performance and sustainability goals. - Treat compute as a continuous production output, not a fixed asset — making AI infrastructure truly adaptive and scalable. For more, read: https://lnkd.in/eqNDsRyM And don’t forget to come visit us at SC25 next week (Booth 6351).

Thank you to everyone who joined our CPO Daniel Bathurst and Omer Wilson, CMO at Start Campus, at Web Summit to discuss how Europe can lead the next phase of AI with Pascale Davies. The takeaway was clear: AI leadership requires real infrastructure — scalable GPU capacity, sustainable power, and connected campuses built for industrial-scale training and inference. Our partnership with Start Campus is helping make that possible. #WebSummit
