One week from today the world will come together to celebrate #GivingTuesday - a chance to give back and connect as a global giving community. This year in particular, I have to draw your eye to the critical needs of global causes. Cuts to food and nutrition programming, clean water infrastructure, medical care, and disaster relief around the world are threatening the lives of millions. Our charity partners remain hard at work addressing these needs, but are struggling to fund the gaps in their work. Please read our resource on the top charities to support this GivingTuesday and consider sharing with your employees - every bit helps! https://lnkd.in/eCEYd-Pg

  • Lasting impact doesn’t happen without lasting investment.     Mapping the Blue Thread: Charting our Journey to 2030 is World Vision’s most visionary and transformative Global Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Business Plan yet. It’s where bold ambition meets catalytic investment—fueling a global movement to close the WASH funding gap. And you’re invited to join our virtual launch on December 1.    šŸ“… Livecast: Launching World Vision’s 2030 Vision for WASH  šŸ•™ Monday, December 1 | 11:00am (EST)  āž”ļø REGISTER NOW: https://lnkd.in/erfyHenB    By 2030, we commit to reaching:  šŸ’§ 30 million people with safer, more accessible water  🚿 13 million with improved sanitation  🧼 15.4 million with handwashing facilities    We’re also providing WASH services to more than 8,000 schools and 3,000 healthcare facilities across 42 countries in six global regions.     Despite progress in global WASH access, a $76 billion annual funding gap threatens our ability to achieve those goals and Sustainable Development Goal 6—universal access to water and sanitation—by 2030.    World Vision aims to unlock capital to accelerate access to clean water for millions. By 2030, our goal is for 25% of World Vision’s WASH funding to come from repayable or leveraged finance that integrates private sector partnerships, corporate and foundation grants, flexible private funding, local cost-share, and institutional grants—a bold shift that allows country programs to mature and scale sustainably. This innovative approach enhances resilience, unlocks additional resources, and helps ensure long-term impact, breaking the cycle of fragmented, short-term projects.    Our vision is clear: a future where every dollar delivers more, every project endures, and every person has reliable access to clean water.     Together, we're building a movement that's entrepreneurial, adaptable, geographically grounded, faith-driven, and built for scale and sustainability.    āž”ļø Partner with us in this bold next chapter. • On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we pause to reflect on a critical question: How can we build communities where dignity, safety, and harmony can truly thrive? Violence doesn't just harm individuals—it destabilizes families, weakens community systems, and limits long-term development. If we want thriving communities, we need solutions that are trusted, locally led, sustainable, and proven to work at scale. That’s where faith leaders come in.  With an estimated 86.8% of the global population projected to identify with a religion by 2050 (Pew, 2022), religious beliefs play a foundational role in shaping norms, expectations, and behaviors. In fragile states where formal systems are limited, faith communities are often one of the few social infrastructures capable of sustaining long-term change—and faith leaders are among the most trusted, accessible, and enduring actors within those communities. They are often the first port of call for individuals and families dealing with trauma and violence. When equipped with evidence-based tools and skills, faith leaders can play a critical role in equipping communities to examine harmful beliefs, tackle issues that drive violence, and reinforce dignity, protection, and mutual respect.  We’ve seen this firsthand. Through evidence-based programs like Celebrating Families, Channels of Hope Restore, and Becoming One, World Vision partners with faith leaders to: šŸ”ø Facilitate community and family dialogue on non-violence and mutual respect  šŸ”ø Challenge harmful norms and encourage positive practices  Support community education and outreach that strengthen protection and family well-being These approaches are grounded in research and global best practices—and the impact is measurable, leading to: šŸ”ø Reduced intimate partner violence  šŸ”ø Significant decreases in parents hitting their children   šŸ”ø Safer and more nurturing home environments  šŸ”ø Reductions in child marriage and female genital mutilation  šŸ”ø Improved communications, conflict resolution, and shared financial decision-making among couples This is what sustainable change looks like: solutions rooted in local values, led by trusted local leaders, and backed by strong evidence. As a faith-based humanitarian organization, World Vision is uniquely positioned to work with faith leaders and communities to prevent violence and promote child and family well-being. Explore the evidence behind our approaches and learn more at https://lnkd.in/euju8YVQ  #16Days #EndViolenceAgainstWomen

This past weekend, we collaborated with our partners to distribute thousands of turkeys 🦃 and fresh produce šŸ„— boxes šŸ“¦ across vulnerable communities throughout the country. Many families are struggling to make ends meet, and our goal was to alleviate as many burdens as possible so they can enjoy the #Thanksgiving holiday with their loved ones. Every year at KBIS/IBS, this event reminds me why this industry is so special, The Storehouse Project Breakfast (Crystal Vision). Over the last 10 years I have walked away feeling: inspired, educated, grounded in purpose and connected to people who truly care. I look forward to joining you to support families rebuilding after Hurricane Helene, the L.A. fires, and Hurricane Melissa. This is where our industry unites to create real impact. • On December 1, we will launch Mapping the Blue Thread: Charting our Journey to 2030—our most transformative Global Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Business Plan yet. And you’re invited to join us!    This plan is more than a roadmap. It’s a commitment to deliver sustainable, adaptive WASH solutions that will help lift 30 million people out of poverty by 2030. Covering 42 countries across six global regions, it translates ambition into outcomes.     At the heart of Mapping the Blue Thread are our four bold goals:    šŸ”ø Accelerate universal and equitable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services  šŸ”ø Deepen focus on the most vulnerable, especially in fragile and high-risk contexts  šŸ”ø Demonstrate sustainable impact to ensure greater transparency, learning, and accountability  šŸ”ø Leverage our $1.5 billion global plan to mobilize new financing for WASH services    Water is foundational for transformative progress in every area of development—the blue thread that connects people, places, and progress.    Mapping the Blue Thread sets an exciting new direction for our work. It shapes a future where water, sanitation, and hygiene catalyze improved child well-being, economic growth, resilience, and lasting change.     Through integrated programming, place-based innovation, and catalytic financing, World Vision is poised to deliver lasting change for the world’s most vulnerable communities.    As we enter the final stretch to the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030, the stakes—and the opportunities—have never been greater.    We invite you to join us on our journey.
