Newsweek App
You are entitled to request that we delete the personal data that we retain so that you can access the Newsweek application. Unless there is a specific legal reason for not deleting your data, these instructions explain the steps you should take. If there is a legal reason for retaining your data, we will notify you directly when we respond to your deletion request.
As a user of the Newsweek application, we hold the following data in respect of every user:
- The first and last name you provided to us at the time of registration.
- Your email address
- The password you use to access the Newsweek application.
Newsweek App User Data - Account Deletion
Please select from the following two options, depending on whether you are a subscribed or non-subscribed user of the Newsweek application.
Are you a non-subscribed user?
If you have not subscribed to the Newsweek application, please follow these steps:
- Open the Newsweek application on your handheld device.
- Click on, and open, the "My Account" icon on the app.
- Then click on the "Delete Account" icon.
- A pop-up screen will ask you to confirm you wish to delete your account.
- Click on "Yes, delete my account".
- Your account data will be deleted.
- You will receive an email from Newsweek confirming that your account data has been deleted.
Are you a subscribed user?
If you have subscribed to the Newsweek app, please follow these steps to delete your data:
- Open the Newsweek application on your handheld device.
- Click on, and open, the "My Account" icon on the application.
- Then click on the "Delete Account" icon.
- Your device should open a blank email page with the address line support@newsweek.com.
- Enter "Delete Account" in the subject line of the email and press, 'Send'.
- The Newsweek Account Support team will receive your email and delete your account data.
- You will receive an email from Newsweek confirming that your account data has been deleted.
