Nothing beats gathering around good food and even better company. For #Thanksgiving celebrations, our teams came together across offices to share what we're grateful for, and it reminded us why we love being part of this community. 

The numbers tell a story about our medical graduates in rural health.   Here's what that looks like: 40% of American University of the Caribbean and Ross University School of Medicine residency placements are in medically underserved areas. More than 450 have matched into primary care residencies, with over 55% training where doctors are needed most. For #NationalRuralHealthDay, we’re highlighting the vital role of healthcare in underserved communities. Our students train where they live, build meaningful relationships, and see firsthand the impact they can make in these areas. It's not just education. It's community investment. On Veterans Day, I reflect both as a veteran and as someone who serves an organization dedicated to healthcare workforce development. We honor the courage and sacrifice of those who've served our nation. Their dedication to protecting our freedom deserves our deepest gratitude and ongoing support. The transition home presents unique challenges. Mental health support remains critical, with many veterans experiencing PTSD, anxiety, and depression. However, evidence-based interventions are making a meaningful difference: trauma-informed therapy and service dog partnerships are helping veterans rebuild connections with family and community while finding pathways to healing. This year, the Adtalem Global Education Foundation is proud to support The Headstrong Project and American Humane Society's Pups4Patriots —providing free trauma-informed therapy sessions and service dog matches for veterans in need. To every veteran: thank you for your service. 

Hurricane Melissa devastated communities across Jamaica, directly impacting many of our people who are now facing the difficult work of rebuilding. When our communities face crisis, we take action. Walden University, Ross University School of Medicine, American University of the Caribbean, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and Adtalem have committed $30,000 to Project HOPE, which provides medical supplies, water, and hygiene kits while supporting local health facilities and frontline workers. Together, we make a greater impact. Our people are our priority—in the classroom and beyond.

At Adtalem, we know that many of the faculty shaping healthcare and social work education at Walden University were once first-generation students themselves. That experience matters. It informs how they mentor, how they guide, and how they show up for the professionals pursuing advanced degrees today. They've navigated these paths without roadmaps—and now they're creating them for others. Our educators provide more than curriculum. They offer personalized guidance, evidence-based strategies, and clear milestones that help students move from uncertainty to momentum.
