We are excited to launch the Enabling Quality Interactions between Providers and Patients through Education Delivery (EQUIPPED) Initiative on December 11th! The EQUIPPED Initiative is a global program that supports hospitals and cancer organizations—especially in low- and middle-income countries—to provide effective cancer education for newly diagnosed patients and their caregivers. Using a collection of educational materials developed by the ACS in multiple languages, the initiative promotes education that is people-centered, scientifically accurate, and culturally appropriate. Its goal is to help patients and caregivers better understand cancer and make informed decisions about treatment.
